Student Services Administration Assistant

International Students House, located near Regents’ Park, in the heart of London, offers accommodation, social and support services for resident and non-resident British and overseas students.

The Student Services Department is responsible for support, advice, and welfare of ISH residents, scholarship selection and administration, welfare fund administration, student events, and alumni administration and development.

Duties and responsibilities:

- To assist the Dean of Student Life with administration of the ISH scholarship programme (writing and responding to correspondence, liaison with internal departments and university partner contacts).
- To support the administration of the Mary Trevelyan Hardship Fund, logging applications received, communicating decisions to applicants and arranging payments. Hh
- To monitor and follow up on receipt of reports/forms/documents requested from residents and scholars.
- Diary management for the Dean of Student Life and arranging appointments with students.
- To provide administration support as required for the Dean of Student Life.

Person Specification:

- Fluent written and spoken English
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High standard of customer service
- Efficient and reliable

Hours of work:

The post is offered on a zero hours’ contract. Hours are flexible, but will average 2 days per week. Some evening work required.

Salary & Benefits:

The starting wage is £9.50 per hour, rising to £10.86 after successful completion of probation. Wages are reviewed annually on the 1st October.
A £2.75 meal allowance per working day is given for use in the ISH Catering facilities.
ISH has a contributory pension scheme.
